Dr. Banson grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa during his undergraduate years at MIT. Marty received his medical training at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina.

Following his medical internship, Dr. Banson completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Banson was named Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology while at the Brigham. He completed a full year fellowship in musculoskeletal and abdominal MRI, CT, and ultrasound at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Banson joined the medical imaging staff of St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, New York, in 1998. He has been associated with Albany Advanced Imaging since its inception, and serves on its interpretive staff. Dr. Banson became a Member in July, 2001, and was named Executive Vice President of Albany Advanced Imaging in January, 2002.

Marty is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Radiological Society of North American. He lives in Loudonville, New York, and enjoys golf and traveling.
