• Subspecialist in neuroradiology as well as thoracic and abdominal imaging

Dr. Cavoli is a summa cum laude graduate of Union University in Schenectady, New York. While in college, Rich designed an experiment in crystal growth at zero gravity which was performed on the space shuttle Discovery. Dr. Cavoli's contribution to science was recognized by President Reagan during his 1986 State of the Union address. Building on his strong scientific foundation, Rich attended medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Following medical school, Dr. Cavoli completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was named Chief Resident. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Cavoli has completed one year fellowships in Neuroradiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital, and in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Cavoli and his wife relocated to the Capital Region following completion of his fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. He is on the interpretive staffs of Albany Advanced Imaging and the Department of Medical Imaging at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, New York. Dr. Cavoli became a full Member of Albany Advanced Imaging in 2003. In his free time, Rich enjoys golf and tennis.
